Red Bull Thre3style DJ Battle 2011 – SF Qualifer

A few weeks ago, I was invited to participate in Red Bull’s Thre3style DJ Battle along with 7 other top DJs in San Francisco. It’s never been done in SF before so we had no idea what to expect. The rules: 15 minutes to pull off a ‘party rocking’ set which had to include at least three different genres. I don’t think I’ve DJed in front of 800+ people before, especially not with all of them staring me on stage. I have to say, I was pretty nervous but it ended up being one of the best experiences I’ve had as a DJ so far- and to top it off, I managed to place 3rd. Here’s a big thank you to the folks at Red Bull for putting together the event, much love to everyone who came out that night and last but not least, props to the amazing and talented DJs who did their thing on stage that night.
